Global Warming creates Pest Island

24 March, 2009

Rentokil Trinidad, the Islands premier Pest Control Service provider, has reported over a 15% increase in the volume of Pest activity reported to it over the last 12 months. This continues the upwards trends that have been experienced over the last 5 years.

Michael Farah Managing Director commented “We continue to be surprised at the volumes and have had to increase the number of people in our teams significantly. We believe that the increased level of Pest activity is as a result of the changing climate we have been experiencing and an increasing intolerance towards Pest activity amongst the inhabitants of the Island. Of particular concern is a marked level of increase in mosquito activity with it’s associated health risks”.

“Pest Control is one of the core services necessary to ensure hygiene standards in both business and in the home. The increase in Pest volumes and the higher level of service expectations has led to us increasing our investment in all levels of services – particularly around Technician training and assessments to reinforce our commitment towards public health on the Islands”.
